Conwy

I went here my junior year of high school over spring break. I was inside Conwy Castle with my tour group (Collins Hill High School Orchestra) and it started raining. Everyone ran for cover, and I decided why not, lets climb to the top of one of the towers. So I did! It was pouring rain and hailing and it was freezing cold, but it was definitely worth it. Everyone was inside, so I saw nobody at all- not anywhere. So i reached my hands up and shouted for no reason. And the world was so empty and perfect, and the clouds were exploding on me, and it was truly an awesome experience.

Great place to spend a quiet few days. The Castle is great and the surrounding countryside amazing.

Virgin Trains do not stop here normally so you’ll need to change at one of the other stations (suggest Llandudno Junction) and take a bus or a local train (run by Arriva) to this place. By Car it’s easy to get to along the A55 (which runs along the North Waes coast).

I’m afraid the picture I’ve posted isn’t great but one of the only ones I could find in my collection.

A beautiful little harbour on the north coast of Wales. The scenery there is breathtaking. Don’t miss a sunset on Conwy Sands.

A bit of touristy, but an awesome little town with some surprisingly fun and lively pubs, and incredible scenery in every direction.
