那木错湖是中国水量第一的大湖，在当雄县境内。又称为腾格里湖。面积1920平方公里，湖面海拔4178米，为世界最高的大湖。湖中有三岛，鸟类甚多。水草肥美，全年均可放牧。湖水湛蓝，雪峰倒影，景色颇为壮观。
