Palouse Falls

The campground is on a high bluff overlooking the falls and the canyon, with very nice views. It seems like the campground could be a bit hot, but there are some shade trees. The falls and the canyon are very nice, and interesting geology of how the runout from Glacial Lake Missoula carved the deep canyon.

There’s not much around Palouse Falls’ campground, but the scenery is spectacular. Nova had a special in May 2006 (“Megafloods”) highlighting this area. Very interesting geology.

Really stunning waterfall and gorge, some short hikes, and a nice picnic area.

A bunch of really nice short hikes near by. Seems like a good place to spend a night or two in spring or summer.
