When we visited Seattle in July 2005 we bought the CityPass. It had tickets for the Space Needle and a variety of other local attractions. One of the tickets included in the package was for a one hour harbor cruise.

We had a good time. The cruise gave us a beautiful view of the city, and was a nice diversion from walking up and down the waterfront. One hour was about right, plenty of time to see the sights, but not too long either.

I’m one that loves tours! When I’m in a new city, I like to find out about a local driving, boating, or walking tour so I can get a flavor for the area, plus learn a little history from a local who knows the area. Combine that with being on the water and you have a winner IMO :)

If you don’t have time for a long cruise, do the Harbor Cruise, it’s an hour long and very enjoyable. There are also longer cruises and dinner cruises, although I’ve never done the dinner one and it might be less about the city and more about partying.
