Issaquah Salmon Hatchery

The salmon hatchery is interesting, and the work that goes into bringing the salmon back to these local streams is important. However, from a “let’s go somewhere to see X” point of view, the hatchery by itself isn’t super high on the list.

However, during the salmon runs, and particularly during the Salmon Days festival (and when those two coincide it’s a double-bonus!) then the hatchery really comes to life. When you see the salmon fighting up stream and then see the work of the hatchery to help increase their numbers, then it is a worth while trip.
