Bishop Museum

I did enjoy must of the museum, but by the time we left I was resenting all the time we spent there. With only 4 days in Hawai, 1/2 a day of museum was just too much of being indoors. It turned out to be the only thing we got to do all day.

I expected more. The museum is great if you LOVE history. I was entertained, but information was lacking on a lot of the artifacts and there really wasn’t much to see. The history part is 45 minutes of reading.

The Bishop Museum is great for learnng about Hawaiian and Polynesian culture. It has your typical museum stlye artifacts and historical articles. It was well done, but was not well maintained. The Adventure Center is for kids but parts seem to be too complicated for kids. Nice grounds and cool planetatium though.
