Verite Coffee / Cupcake Royale

We got here at the end of the night and there were only a handful of cupcakes left to choose from – the leftovers, so to speak. I took a look at them and thought, “great…the flavors no one wanted”. Most of them appeared to be yellow cake with green icing. I asked the guy at the counter – green? They turned out to be mint, and I was even more turned off, but I was there, and was dead set on cupcake consumption, so I took the plunge.

It was excellent! To describe the green as mint is a harsh label in my opinion. It tasted more like those little pastel colored mint nonpareils that melt in your mouth…

Along with a moist, tasty cake, the whole thing was delicious.

So, if those are the ones that everyone are leaving behind at the end of the evening, they must be missing out, or the other flavors are even better!

I thought there would be hundreds. In reality I think they had maybe fifty. I bought a “Red Devil” one for my spouse. He is currently wearing the frosting in his goatee. I guess that means it was good.
