Narooma

My most memorable New Years Eve Celebration was the Millenium 1999-2000 and I was on a mission trip on the Australian Coast, to Narooma. After watching the fun small beach town fireworks on the field, we went down the coast and off road through this crazy thickness of trees (after midnight of course) and in complete darkness, I had no idea where we were. We got out of the trucks and carefully felt our way and put blankets down. Some of the leaders pulled out sparkling cider and bread. We had the most incredible communion experience I have ever had, huddled together in the dark above the ocean. Wow. Thinking about that makes me miss my aussie friends.
