Maharshee Dhondo Keshav karve is a pioneer in women’s education in India. around 100 years ago in india society is against women’s education. Maharshee Dhondo Keshav Karve started it against all odds. He founded first school for women at Hingne, one area in Pune city in Maharashtra Stat in India in Asia.

Karve Nagar is near Hingne. Pepole purchased land here @ Rs.10/- per Sq.ft. and now in the year 2006 it is riched upto 2000/- to 3000/- per sq.ft.

It is a peaceful place. Surrounded by lots of trees. near to city but yet polution free (upto some extent). River Mutha is flowing nearby. Majority of population here is middle-class people. Overall it is a good location to live a peaceful life.

I’ve been living here for past 25 + years and can surely say that it is the best spot in Pune to live in / settle down.
