for anyone who lives in iowa city or is just passing through, i would definately recommend going to the java house, a great coffee place on washington street. national public radio fans may have heard of it on “live from the java house” a weekly program that is taped there. it’s usually pretty crowded, so you’re lucky if you get a really good seat, but there’s alot to choose from, the atmosphere’s great, and there’s really cool artwork up right now!
