Moving again
I don’t know the exact date but Zuppa is moving again, this time to Rockett’s Landing.

News about this place
The new location (just across the street) is open with an expanded menu. Smoking is allowed (boo!) at the bar and new smoking section, but there is a non-smoking section. I made the mistake of eating lunch at the bar on my first trip here, which was OK until some yahoo started smoking a few seats down from me while he was yacking on his cell phone. There are no smoke-eaters or similar devices, so it got disgusting pretty quickly.
Back to the new menu, sandwiches are now officially available at lunch only, but I understand the kitchen will make sandwiches on request at dinner, and special dinner sandwiches will be added to the menu. And the menu is now available online. http://www.zuppa.org/services.html

News about this place
The restaurant is closed for a few days while it is being moved across the street (former Awful Arthur’s/Jacquemo’s location). It will re-open Friday night. I believe the menu will be somewhat expanded, and there will be live music on some evenings, as well as Sunday brunch.

Soup, sandwiches, pizza, and desserts
Zuppa opened while I was overseas, and a friend of mine raved about the place and took me out to lunch there when I got back. I had a huge bowl of she-crap soup (one of five soups served every day, in addition to rotating specials), while my friend had one of the daily specials (a pizza), which was also yummy. We split an order of hot bread pudding with ice cream for dessert. Everything was hot, fresh, and very tasty!
