Cafe Grumpy

It was a bit of a rushed lunch, but they had these lovely vegetarian sandwiches that even though they are pre-made taste fresher than lots of places that make it for you (I guess the ingredients they made it with were fresh), and I had a sparkling apple juice. My friend had a croissant, and because they were closing up they gave us 2 for 1. The staff were really nice, and one of them had an aussie accent :P The atmosphere was really chilled/warm. the name ‘grumpy’ is in irony only, they are really lovely, and seem to treat each other well too (but then, I only spent about 15 minutes there, so I could be wrong).

I noticed in the photos on this site there was a scrabble board. I’ll have to go back there with more time to have a game :P

The Grumpies are a great bunch of people who are working hard to bring excellent espresso to their area. If you are in the Brooklyn area step out near Greenpoint Ave and check them out.
