Forest Park

The Muny Opera, which is outdoor summer theatre. Ice skating is available in the winter. There are bike rentals and bike tours. The St. Louis Art Museum is world class. The Boathouse has a wonderful restaurant and boat rentals.

My fiance asked me to marry him in the Jewel Box in Forest Park. so i think it was pretty awesome. grin

This is one of my most favorite places in the world. The zoo is awesome and free. The Science Centers are great, and free. The Muny is wonderful and free or cheap depending on where you want to sit. The park itself is gorgeous. If you get to St. Louis, don’t miss it!

it was pre-spring. March, so the only thing ‘pretty’ was the bit of grass that wanted to turn green and the pockets of daffodils blooming. BUt its big, with ponds and lots of stuff, so i’m sure when everythign is green and waht not its extremely beautiful.

The second largest city park in the nation behind Central Park in New York.

Forest Park is home to the free St. Louis Zoo, the Science Center, the Art Museum, the Muny, a great public golf course, and awesome running trails.
