I’m leaving for Morocco in September and I will be there for over 2 years. This morning I received an order through my amazon store for something to be delivered to “Poligono Virgen de Africa … Ceuta, Ceuta, Spain.” I was very curious as to what part of Spain this could be, so I plugged that name into Google Earth and Bingo! it moved only inches from the location in Morocco that I’d been exploring. I want to go to Ceuta Ceuta and meet Borja Alemany Serrano, who bought my audio cassette of Dead Can Dance’s Serpent’s Egg.

went there by Baluka

For 3 days and i liked it. I wouldn´t have mind to be there for longer. It´s interesting to see the different cultures living there.

It´s also good to be there as a first step before going to Morrocco as it´s neither similar to Spain or Morocco…

I would recomend it and would definetly go back.

Most definitely not “exactly like England.” Ceuta is what it is— Spain in Morocco, or perhaps Morocco in Spain (although the former is more literal). I don’t see why Spain doesn’t give the land back to Maroc.

(Also, what’s up with the a.k.a. “y Gibraltar”? Totally different places…unless the person who registered it meant they wanted to visit both…)

ES-CE (ISO 3166-2) [EA reserved for Ceuta and Melilla in ISO 3166-1]

Ceuta is one of Spain’s two autonomous cities (Ciudades Autónomas); it is at the very north of Morocco’s, North African, Mediterranean coast.

See Wikipedia in English and Spanish, and also in the Enciclopedia Libre Universal en Español.

Exactly like England. Except closer to Spain lol. Don’t know what’s so special about it. Just to say you’ve been there, I guess.
