Art Director

My step father, Oronzo Abbatecola, was the art director of the Museum back in the 1970’s. Some of the minitures on display he created. He also taught art courses at the Rosicrucian University that took place during the summer months. That is how my mother and he met.

Amazing.

Absolutely amazing. I would recommend it to anyone who has any interest in ancient Egypt-religion, culture, way of life, day-to-day routine, architecture-it’s all there, even a perfectly re-created tomb with breathtakingly painted walls. You don’t just stand back and admire that tomb from behind a glass wall; you actually get to walk through it. As an Egyptian Pagan, a Thelemite, and a general history buff, I would definately recommend this museum.

WOW!

This is a WONDERFUL museum – so much more than what I’d expected. I thought there would be a dusty building with some Egyptian stuff, but it was really impressive – beautiful displays with tons of great artifacts. My son especially loved the mummies, and also the Rock Tomb – I really enjoyed that myself. The museum guides were really knowledgeable and friendly, too. We liked it so much, we’re members now, because I’m sure we’ll want to come back again. I would highly recommend this to anyone interested in ancient Egypt, or anyone who just wants a nice day out.
