Unique Taste Restaurant

Unique it certainly is.
I’ve visited this restaurant for the first and last time.

Okay Here’s the deal you’re walking through Chinatown and you see something of what would be regarded as an anacronysm in Chinatown. Uniqe Taste Restaurant with Brazilian BBQ and Authentic Northern Chinese Cuisine.

To Start when you enter the restaurant it has the makings of a very chique and urban atmosphere a very beautiful setting don’t be fooled by this because that’s where it ends.

You decide to go for the specialty of the Brazilian BBQ. Your food is delivered on a long BBQ Skewer where the waiter has difficulty shaving the meat off and placing the tidbits on your plate like little samples. This is the buffet they were talking about? You sit and wait approximately 5-10 minutes for a waiter to come by with a single skewer. It’s all you can eat if you can wait that long. By the time they delivered all of the varieties of the Brazilian BBQ it was long past any lunch hour. Not to mention the chicken wings delivered were still bloody inside. If you would like to get a week off work because of botulism this is the place to eat. The waiters eventually come around with servings of northern Chinese cuisine.When they sloppily served the customers with some of those dishes like the sweet and sour pork dish that comes with that deep red sauce it was dripping off the edges of the serving dish. Can you say drycleaning bill.

By the time you get your food the bill you’ve spent enough time in the restaurant to call it a history lesson.

Your table then becomes inundated with used plates glasses and there is no busperson in site to clean up the mess and no room to eat your so-called buffet.

My Recommendation is to stay a way.
These people have no clue what they
are doing.

Okay guys.
Let me start off by saying the following about this place.

1)This is not a BUFFET!!! You can not go to the food table and take whatever you want. Instead, you just wait until they bring you samples.

Here is how it works:

The waiter has a sample of each food (like chicken wings, pork, beef, lamb etc…). He walks to each table and asks if they would like to “try” it. By “try” all he does is give you 2-3 little pieces of the meat and expects you to eat it.
He goes to EACH table…so for those people in the back, there is less and less of the actual “sample” to eat. The only reason why it’s called a “buffet” is beause you ask for the food you want. You can’t actually go there and take it yourself. You can not see the food you are asking. You just look at the menu and ask for that dish.

2)The way this place works is idiotic! Assume that you want to ask for chicken wings, right?
So after you wait for them, he will bring those chicken wings to each table and asks them if they would liek to try a sample.
That sample is the actual food that you asked for. You have to share it with all the people who are sitting in front of you.

3)The food was not really what I was expecting when i looked at the big menu picture outside of the place. From all the food that you see above in the picture, we actually only tried 3. That’s all we were offered.

4)I was in many countries in the world and tried food of the different ethnic restaurants.
This was THE VERY FIRST TIME (and hopefully last) when the food that you ordered and were waiting for so long, is actually given to EVERY PERSON in the restaurant!

5)I did not see anything Brazilian in the restaurant. Everything I have tasted in there was pretty much Chinese only. I assume the only reason why they call it Brasilian is because there are too many Chinese restaurants around, so they wanted to differ from all the rest.

6)If any of you for some reason still want to make your life horrible by going to this place to try food, MAKE SURE TO TAKE THE CLOTHEST TABLES TO KITCHEN! Otherwise, you will always get the last remains of the disk which are not pretty to look at.

Brazilian BBQ Buffet in Chinatown, who would believe it? Well, it’s more like dim sum at night, they serve you dumplings, har gow, stir fried green beans, chicken…but later they bring on the BBQ chicken wings, drumstick, ribs, beef, cow tongue. Pretty good deal for $12.99, but I doubt it’s Brazilian. It got me in there!

The only reason it’s worth going to is experiencing the weird way they operate.
