The first time I went to this place  — 1 month ago

    Worth visiting!

The weather turned the day that we visited Gullfoss, so I could barely see where the torrent of water turned mid-flow due to all the spray and the driving rain.

It was still incredibly impressive. I made sure to stay well away from the slippery rocks at the edge.

So Windy!  — 1 year ago

We drove up to the gift store and after we asked if we could (should?) walk down the wooden plank, one of the employees suggested driving down to the waterfall (“500 meters that way”, he said). It was the windiest spot I’ve ever been at!

This was simply the greatest thing involving water that I have ever seen. Make sure your camera’s ready, though. Mine died before we got there.

You can’t prove we were ever on the edge of the best waterfall in Iceland…

Still Waiting For the "perfect" Photo Op!  — 2 years ago

    Worth visiting!

I’ve been to Gullfoss several times, and just my luck I never did get a really good photo op. I’ll be trying again this June/July!!
