I water was an awesome green color, it bleached the rocks white, and was amazing, the day we went it was 115 (in the shade) degrees at the Dam quite toasty. I have to believe it was at least 125 in the sun.

The Hottest place I've ever been to. by beakerk44

Great place to waterski, but you must bring your own shade. Even IN the shade it’s terribly hot. If you go into the water to cool off, you’ll be dry again by the time you reach your chair. Our solution was to just put our chairs IN the water ~~- that made it a little more pleasant. We saw a temperature guage on the way back~~-I kid you not, 125 deg Farenheit. Too much.
