The closest thing Friday Harbor has to a quality dive (and that’s very important). Internet jukebox lets you pull up all sorts of songs, atmosphere is loud but not overloaded, beer at a good enough price for the San Juans—worth it when you need that sort of fix (and I admit, I do!).

China pearl used to be the hot night spot, but I have heard that Herbs is now the place. I have not been to either for the nightlife…
