Kangaroo & Kiwi Pub

I just went here yesterday. I’m still on the fence about how I feel about the place. It was a little busy on a Saturday afternoon, probably because of the Australia/England rugby match on TV. Supposedly they have free Wi-Fi, but they were streaming the rugby match over the Internet, so they did not want to give me the Wi-Fi access code. The pints seemed a bit on the spendy side, but I don’t know if $4.50 is the going rate these days or not. The service was bad—not rude, just practically nonexistent. But I like the atmosphere, and there are clearly more than a few ex-pat regulars. For that reason, I am giving them enough benefit of the doubt to want to come back at least once more. My “worth visiting” rating is just barely over the middle.

I dropped in one afternoon. It was quiet and colorful. I had a nice ginger beer with lemon bitters.

Is this the only Australian/New Zealand themed pub on the west coast? It claims so.

No matter. I’ll come back. :)
