Worth visiting!
A tip I have about this place
Make a reservation for the Reata if you love real cowboy food. Take a day to explore this town. It is absolutely gorgeous.

You will think you’ve died and gone to cowboy heaven. Eat at the Reata.

Best Place in Texas
I love this little valley town in way West Texas. They nickname themselves “The Real Final Frontier” and they are definatly that. It seems like it’s in the middle of nowhere but the beauty of it makes it worth any other pains of being there. It about 100 miles north of Big Bend National Park, which is another place I love, and sits quite quaintly below the Mountain the locals call the Twin Sisters, it’s real name is the Twin Peaks. But there are several places around Alpine worth visiting too. But there’s just something about Alpine that makes it special, I’m not quite sure why.
Also, there is a small college located there called Sul Ross, so any of you prospective Veternarians that need to find a good college to go to. I suggest it if you’re wanting to get away from the big city hustle and bustle for a few years or even to live there, if you don’t mind having to travel about 100 miles to get to the nearest Wal-Mart.
But again, the beauty outweighs any unpleastantries of living or staying there. I’ll always wish to at least visit this part of Texas, if it’s not to live there.
