The North Pole

I went to here almost every year growing up when my family would make its annual migration to Colorado. I went there again with a friend last year, both of us teenagers, and it was still fun. We were totally too old for it, but we still had a great time.

This park is intended for young children, but we still love it after all these years. It’s a great value for the money; the food is reasonably priced by amusement park standards. You rarely have to wait in long lines, and the view from the ferris wheel is awesome! The Christmas theme is fun, and there are many gift shops, some with unique items. Take in the magic show – it’s always a hoot!

I used to be a ride operator there. Working there wasn’t much different than being in high school.

And then took my daughter there when she was young. It’s at the base of Pike’s Peak. Little park for kiddos. Visit Santa, ride the rides, go down the spiral candy cane slide, and more!
