The first time I saw whale sharks!
Last new year’s eve I went to Djibouti and actually swam with whale sharks (young ones, four to eight meters long). I want to go back!

I remember the longest escalator ride of my life.

The spiral aquarium is fascinating. I was a bit scared that the glass would break and we would be swimming with the whale sharks. Yikes.

The layout with a huge 9m deep centre tank and several smaller tanks around, where you can walk in spiral down through the layers of aquatic life, is perfect! Also the “roundtrip of the Pacific”-theme is good for the learning value.
