Wheeler Peak Scenic Drive by Jaq

The drive of about 12 miles takes you from approximately 7000 feet up over 10000 feet in elevation with stunning views of the valley below. From the parking lot at the top of the drive, you can hike to see the bristlecone pines. Unfortunately when we were there on June 1, the pines were still under 2-3 feet of snow!

The cafe in the visitor’s center has good sandwiches, huge cookies, and ice cream.
