The last time I went to this place

I lived here over the summer of ‘05 and ‘06 after my parents moved up here. I started here to go on my cross-country journey to the Eastman School of Music.

I lived on Prune Hill for about 4 years – Camas is rad – great highschool, Top Burger, LaCamas Lake + Round Lake + pot holes… great mountain biking/hiking/jet skiing… Yes, Camas does have an oder… swells like damp wood pulp… smells like home

Camas is my home

Camas is named after the camas lily, a rare and beautiful flower of the northwest. As a small town across the Columbia River for Portland, OR, Camas is growing into greater vibrancy and diversity every day. Camas days, in mid July, gathers together the crafts people, local buinesses, churches and organizations for a carnival-like atmosphere which people of all ages have a blast at. Our mainstreet is picturesque with hanging potted plants and lights in the winter. Camas is still a mill town, but new buisness are opening up everywhere you look! It’s a great place to raise kids a our school districts are excellent. We recently built a new library which is HUGE and just plain gorgeous. We’re a city with heart and lots of community!
