Go for brunch  — 1 year ago

    Worth visiting!

Our favorite Sunday stop when in downtown Seattle. Favorites from different visits: Rosemary raisin toast (really, order it), Oeufs en meurette, herb omelette and delicious potatoes and sausage, Croque-savoyard. Then go for a really long walk!

The first time I went to this place  — 1 year ago

was delicious and forever memorable. I had the most amazing truite aux amandes. it was like eating cake except that it was fish. buttery and lemony. I’ll have a better review later on my blog or something. totally worth it.

We went here on our anniversary. The food was O.K. but I have had much better in.. France! :-)

It was nice, the desserts were the best.

    The Croque-madame.  — 2 years ago

    Worth visiting!

This tasty ham, cheese, tomato, and egg sandwich thing was beyond delicious. It was super! Washed down with a couple bloody marys in true French tradition. I got to exercise some of my new French skills by asking my table mates, in French, “Where is St. Michael road?” and “Sorry, but I only comprehend a little French.” Unfortunately, I can’t spell these sentences for you because I’m only taking a conversation tape and have no idea which alphabet they use.

The biggest mystery of this little cafe is the species and genus of the little animal on their menu… is it a fish, as Daniel says, a bird, as Karen says, or an animal stem cell which has not yet chosen to be fish, bird, or rat, but which has potential to be any of those creatures if and when it so desires, as I say? In any case, it was clever foreshadowing for the day’s upcoming adventures at the Woodland Animal Prison.
