I’ve not been in over 10 years and think about the place often – I do intend on returning one day, I have unfinished business in the Octagan with a certain flower shop owner. over 4 years agoUntitled by skinnerbirdWhile on a bicycle trip in England, I was interested in visiting Hughendon Manor, home of Benjamin Disraeli. I set off from London with a friend and made it all the way to Hughendon, only to discover that it was closed due to a bank holiday. It was a good reminder to always find out about bank holidays and other closures before trekking off to the hinterlands. over 5 years agoUntitled by joshuawillisI stopped in High Wycombe on my way to London from Bicester. A very nice lady, Helen, used to live in High Wycombe before she met her husband. Helen is eighty this year and visits her sister often. If you visit High Wycombe you have to go on the hill to see the mausoleum and the caves. over 5 years agoI once ordered a cab here by Daniel Spils
The operator that took my call thought I was nuts. I kept saying my address and the words High Why-comb’be as in Wyoming. It’s actually closer to Wick’um. Silly me. Lovely area. I stayed for months and loved every minute. over 5 years agoSee all 6 entries |
