Bukidnon

i recall going to bukidnon with my family as a child. we went there to visit my grandfather’s cousin/brother (i forgot which is it exactly, hehehe) who was working in a processing plant known in the country for processing pineapples and tomatoes.

when we went to their place in bukidnon, i was awed by the seemingly infinite stretch of green pineapple plants that extended towards the horizon (this is the view of their front yard). having been raised in the nearby city of cagayan de oro, i marvelled at the fresh air of bukidnon. i don’t know what it is exactly in this place that made me feel so calm and free.

i was able to go back there again last december with some friends to surprise a housemate in our cebu apartment (he went home to bukidnon for the christmas break) on his birthday. well, actually, it was after his birthday because for some reason, he requested that we come on the day after his birthday.

anyway, i was glad to have been there again after such a long time. once again, i was able to breathe its fresh air and enjoy the green scenery.

i definitely would like to go back there again. =)
