Dahlonega

Courthouse had a great tour. Town is small and cute place to visit.

My mother, her best friend and I went to Dahlonega for the arts & crafts festival they have. It was compeltely amazing. We spent the week in the town. It was one of the nicest places I have been. The people are incredibly friendly which is a new thing being from Tampa, Florida. No one was in a rush and everything was so simple, not like city life. I am going to move there when I get older.

Attended college here for 4 years. Go for Gold Rush which is the 2nd or 3rd Weekend in October. Stay at ( or at least eat at ) the Smith House. Hangout at Caruso’s or The Coffee House to check out the locals and the night life ( not much ). Only spend a day here on your way to Helen for Oktoberfest or Camping in the Mountains. The Appalachian trail starts nearby also.

Dahlonega is a small town. It’s getting bigger. It’s not the funnist place, but the best time to come is in October. GOLD RUSH! What Dahlonega is famous for….....
