A review of this place

The coffee here is addictively fantastic; the servers really know what they’re doing; and they play atmospheric jazz all day long. Sounds like heaven to me.

great coffee - really warm & welcoming place

Ooops! I spelled “coffee” wrong – but believe me, Misha’s doesn’t get anything wrong with their coffee!!!

I found this place after I’d been living in the area for about one month. Somehow now I stop by just about every morning on the way into the office. I alternate between the house Route 66 blend and the Caravan – which drives the AM staff crazy because I can tell they pride themselves in knowing what you want to order w/o having to ask you! If you want your cafe au lait (like me!), make sure you ask that they leave room for milk!! Thier coffee is so damn good though (and they know it) that you only really need a trickle of cream!!!

This place is so one-of-a-kind. Makes Starbucks seem like a rubber stamp. (And believe me, there are plenty of Starbucks around here, too…)

When you are in Old Town Alexandria, totally plan to drop in for a coffee at Misha’s. in the S block adjacent to King St, On Patrick or Henry – whichever is the northbound lane of US Rt 1 through Old Town. Bring a book or pick up the Gazette on the way in the door and stay a while. This place also picks up the Alexandria Wireless hotspot since it is right along the King St. corridor. Lots of Macs – I feel like a loser w/ my Dell!!!
