the MOSS!  — 8 months ago

It all blurs together…but I think this was the place with “Moss the Interruptor!” LOL! But seriously, ahem, a beautiful place. And lots of information about moss. ;)

Nice but crowded  — 2 years ago

I thought this was a pretty sweet temple… the sand sculpture was easily the best part… the big cone-looking thing is a Mount Fuji, and the surrounding lines symbolize the sea. As always, there are a tonne of tourists to spoil the place, but then again, I was one too. Worth a go.

Great garden and very peaceful.  — 2 years ago

This is not as famous as the Gold Pavillion so I found it much less crowded. The garden was far better than the Golden Pavillion also. In general I liked this one much better. I would say it’s a must if you’re in Kyoto.

Everyone goes to Kinkakuji...  — 2 years ago

But I really think Ginkakuji is much nicer. So far, it’s the most beautiful garden that I’ve been to in Japan.
