I went here with Sailboat!. They had a live radio performance for WRIU, and Paul and I fell asleep in the studio while video taping them. we hadn’t slept in 2 days, and had been driving for a while.

How this place changed my life
I went to school here for 4 years. Living by the beach was awesome.

A review of this place: Great Experience
I went here for four years, and it was exactly what I always imagined college to be like. The four years I spent here were some of the best years of my life. The campus itself is beautiful, and has lots of impressive, historic buildings. The school also has a pretty large Greek system, which makes for a pretty good social scene. The professors are for the most part, good. The school has a very good internship program, and I was able to get a job with the company I interned for as soon as I graduated. Some downsides were that I did have some trouble getting classes I needed, because it is a public university and they don’t guarantee seats in any class, regardless of whether or not you need it to graduate. Also, if you don’t do well in large classes, this probably isn’t the place for you, since most of the gen-eds are in large lecture halls with over a hundred students. The campus itself makes for a great enviroment to meet new people, as most freshmen and sophomores live on campus. Most of the dorms are newly renovated, and there are also brand new apartments and dining halls. Parking for commuters kind of sucks. The campus is also very close to the beach, and most juniors and seniors rent houses right by the beach. There are also numerous fun bars and restuarants nearby. Overall, this college gave me a great education, and a fun-filled four years.

How this place changed my life
I spent four years here going to college and I wouldn’t take one minute back. Its a great campus, RI is a great state, even with all of its quirks (coffee milk, cabinets…). I loved my college experience and made so many wonderful friends

the campus is pretty. lots of old buildings and some fun events going on. but the people that make up the school, most of them are dumb. its all a bunch of immature high school grads just dying to be away from home so they can have promiscuous parties every night and get as drunk as ever. in class every morning i’d have to hear some lame story about how someone threw up all over someone else’s couch or bathroom and who cheated on who. apparently these are all triumphs in this college that immediately get you props and pop-campus recognition. i made two friends close to my age at URI. and after a semester… left. its a nice place to visit. not a nice place to go to school.
unless you don’t really want to go to school and your mommy and daddy have the dough to send you to URI so you can party and get drunk every night. don’t attend if you have common sense. its a shame though cuz some of the professors are pretty nice and i’m sure there are some great students, but they are really hard to find.
