Awesome. My son asked was this how it was in the 60’s. Not quite. Tiring but fun.

A tip I have about this place
If you are going to the country fair. Take the bus from the downtown station in Eugene to get out there, its fairly quick, you don’t have to worry about parking at the fair (which is abysmal). Also, its free with a previously purchased ticket to the fair. Basically its the best way to go; and there’s buses going out and back into town all day so you can enjoy they fair as you please!
Just a little tip from a native Eugenian

I spent a few of my very young years (through age 6) in Veneta, the site of the Oregon Country Faire. It has become far more commercial since then. I went twice over the years but was a bit disappointed that the spirit I hoped would be there had been lost. The Grateful Dead have passed, and it’s hard to find that spirit again. Something I was always on the fringes of…all I came out with was a bad sunburn. Hopefully it will change again (or has already). Still, it’s something worth experiencing at least once anyway…otherwise, as I have found, you may regret it.

OREGON COUNTRY FAIRE 2005
Wow, like a Grateful Dead concert! Lots of crafts booths, people, fun, food, and music. I wasn’t really sure what to expect and was initally overwhelmed with the sights, sounds and smells! Over 200 booths, set up in the woods about 12 miles out of town in the Spring. Check it out if you haven’t experienced.
