Takapuna

Auckland and Takapuna were enlightening to say the least. While there was nothing I knew of that was necessarily cultural or historic there, the atmosphere, people, and environment were so pleasant there is nothing I can say badly about this trip. It is a long plane ride, but definitely worth it. You will see bright blue skies, black sanded beaches. Once you think you are strictly on a coastal isolated area, Auckland is literally 15 minutes away. In these days and time, city is pretty much synonymous with pollution and crime. Not here, not that I had seen. Since there are so many students in Auckland University, ratio of women higher than men, the Viaduct near by Church St. was the place to be on the weekends. I am just glad I had a girlfriend with me at the time or I would have had whiplash.
I recommend this place to all. the flight is just a filteration device.
