Dog River Coffee

Okay, I know it’s a coffee shop. But it really did.

The people, mainly. Wonderful, wonderful people. You go in, and even if you’re not a regular, you’re greeted like you actually matter. A frequent realization on the part of customers: “Oh my God. This is not Starbucks, is it?”

The place has spirit. You walk in and everything’s okay.

I used to be shy, never talked to anyone, had a superiority complex masquerading as an inferiority complex to beat all. Now I’m open, I play in a band, I’m totally hippie and totally myself. And it really is because of here, weird as that sounds.

Of all the places I’ve been in my life, this is the one that I say changed my life.

And the coffee’s good, too. :) Okay, a little more than good.

Wi-fi, couches & awesome coffee (Stumptown)... what more could you ask for in a coffee shop?!
