Denver Public Library

This place seemed a bit sterile when I first walked into the lobby, but I was quickly converted. I wish the City of Richmond library was anywhere near this great!

i still owe this library ninety dollars for some bulgarian language books & tapes I took out two years ago and never returned…grins sheepishly. I’m a terrible library offender. I’ll give them back as soon as I get back to Denver! Honest!

I visited my bro in Denver, and we happened to make a stop for some movies and music.

Michael Graves’ daring exterior architecture is well-complimented by the warm, yet equally awe-inspiring interior. From the granduer of the atrium to the cozy window-seats, you can’t help but love this library. Even some hints of iconic mid-20th century elements (See stairwell in Burnham-Hoyt wing)
Oh yeah, did I mention books?
