They accept credit card (even though there is a huge sign saying they don’t)

A review of this place: A place to meet  — 1 year ago

    Worth visiting!

This coffee shop seemed more of a business meeting location at times than an actual coffee shop. I myself met with someone there and there were probably 6 other tables where there was more business conversation than coffee drinking.

A tip I have about this place  — 1 year ago

I use to walk here a lot with my dog and you can actually bring them in to get your coffee. Sometimes I would sit inside with my puppy, but when it was warm out I would try to stay out of others way and sit outside.

Coffee Club (04/21): The Alaskans  — 2 years ago

    Worth visiting!

Three ex-Alaskans showed up: me, my brother Greg & Joe Jordan. I’m meeting my brother next week for sure. Looks like 7:45am is starting time—we left around 9am.

Zeitgeist needs a new black tea option. Today’s tea tasted like ripe dirt. I still love this place.

top of the heap  — 2 years ago

    Worth visiting!

Seattle has plenty of coffee shops, it’s true. I’ve got my favorite ones for a dry cappucino on the way to work, my favorite for afternoon espresso and chatting with the barista (Hi Trish!), and my favorite for sitting around and reading. But Zeitgeist is the the brightest and warmest and airiest. I love sitting at my favorite table with an americano and the delicious gingerbread biscotti, just soaking in the atmosphere and woolgathering. Their salami sandwich is the best one in town outside of Salumi itself. I am inordinately fond of their clock. Most of all, the design of the place is handsome and coherent and grown-up and subtle and humanistic, making it an institution rather than a coffee shop someone put together; like the best typography, you can easily look right past it.
