Quadra Island

I have been visiting Quadra Island for many years since my parents built a modest vacation cabin back in the late 1980’s. I was born in California but Quadra feels like home too! The island has recently become more crowded as people are discovering this lush area, however, it is a great jumping off point via ferry to visit more secluded islands such as Cortez. August is the best month to visit because the weather is usually warmer and it doesn’t rain as much. If you want to get away from the urban grind, this is a great place to do it.
