Saturday Nights are a must
The Wurlitzer comes and plays before each show. Also, you should visit Bev’s ice cream across the street. Fresh home made hot fudge on your treats. Mmmmm.

A Richmond tradition
The theater mostly shows second-run movies for $1.99, with some special shows costing slightly more. There is also a Wurlitzer organ show before movies on Saturday night. On weekend nights, you can see the line for the next show stretching around the block.

Lots of history and character
An older theater (first opened in 1928) with lots of character—especially fun on nights when someone on the old Wurlitzer organ performs before a movie (usually on Saturday nights). However, the older seats are small and uncomfortable, especially for tall or large people. But for the ambiance and price, even for second-run movies, you can’t beat it.
