Its worth it is you are stuck in southwest kansas, then its probably the nicest place in the area.

I lived in GC for quite a few years growing up. It’s not an amazing place, but the best in SW Kansas. But don’t go swimming in the big pool… it’s the public toilet. Yuck. The truck stop at 83 and 50/400 intersection is pretty good. And if you haven’t ever had Sonic (Kansas Ave by Dillons Eastside), go there too. Mmm.

Lived here for 13 years… It’s the most cosmopolitan place for 200 miles (which isn’t saying much). Has the World’s Largest Free Municipal Swimming Pool (2.8 million gallons). Also the 3rd largest zoo in KS and the only one you can DRIVE through!
