Worth visiting!
Yummy, rich & good vino
I loved living just up the street from Voila. It’s a great neighborhood joint with a real French owner and decent French food. Love the buttery yellow walls and rich dark wood- pairs nicely with the food.
I have found their service to be spotty- Laurent the owner is friendly and the very tall French waiter (also named Laurent) is my favorite. If you speak French, they’ll speak French back to you and they don’t hover and ask you how things are a million and one times. I like this part of going to a French restaurant in the states!
Also, they often have wine that’s not printed on the menu- ask them if they have any specials. I had the best giondas ever at Voila- and it’s only because I asked. :)
They have a small but cozy garden in the back worth checking out during the warmer months. They’ll even bring you blankets and I believe they had heaters out there too.
One consistent drawback is this place gets LOUD. That’s fine if you aren’t trying to have an intimate conversation or are not with the hearing challenged. But seriously, it’s really noisy when at capacity.
I try to steer clear of the eye candy non-French waiters- one time I went the server was so awful it made me not go back for months. She was anything but charming, friendly or knowledgeable and when we asked for vin de la maison, she was like “What? What is that? Can you please speak in English?” Good lord. Thank god I never saw her back there again.

Worth visiting!
hmmm - i reserve to right to change my mind after i re-visit
i’ve been here, but it was right when they first opened. I went with my friend steve when we were on our ‘try every restaurant that neither of has been to’ kick.
they had ridiculously good service at the time probably because the place was so new and they were eager to get good word of mouth. Food was pretty standard french but done well.
