Buckhead

They got rid of all the bars down there. Good riddance to bad rubish I say. The types that frequented those Buckhead bars were a bunch of non-entities anyway.
It’s all about Phipps Plaza: Barney’s Co-op, Saks. Pick up a pair of Tods and catch a movie. You deserve it.

If your idea of fun is going to bars filled with drunk, testosterone-filled frat boys sexually assulting the few girls that actually come here, you should definately go to Buckhead.

If your idea of fun is getting into fights with drunk meatheads or just getting sucker-punched for the fun of it. You should definately go to Buckhead.

If you think that money is the most important defining characteristic of a person, then you should definately go to Buckhead.

If you like fake boobs, fake people, and you can’t handle depth of character or culture deeper than a petri dish, then you should definately go to Buckhead.

Yes, if you like all this, you should definately go to Buckhead so you don’t ruin all the really cool places in Atlanta. :)

Buckhead is actually just all in your mind. You’re there right now. We all are. Everything is connected.

But it’s ALSO an actual and recommendable place you can visit, ride dirty and what not. There’s plenty afoot, without question. AND if you’re into Wendy’s, they got one. Try the Baked Potato. It’s legit.

My bestfriend lived in Buckhead when I went to visit her in Atlanta. I was in my twenties then. She stays in another part of Atlant now. I had such a great time kicking it with my bestfrend. We went to Club 112 which is in Buckhead. I don’t know if it is still there. We rode around on the strip… but most importantly just hanging out with my girl at her apartment was the best time.

Pretty good shopping because I always can find something formal or for a night out fitting my style at the Macys at Lenox.

Other than that, it’s just a place to see celebrities and be seen. It’s like the grand Mecca for all that’s fake and phony in Atlanta. There is more to Atlanta than just Buckhead. Take it from someone born and raised in the A. (Shoot, I remember The Omni and Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium. I even remember going to Richway, Zayre, and 7-11. Not to mention Club ESSO….. sigh)

Buckhead is definately the most comfortable place in Atlanta for me. It seems to have the best clubs, restaurants and shopping (although Atlanta Underground is pretty neat as well). The salons and spas would be a real treat to include in your visit, and the neighborhood homes in the area are wonderful to tour. Another great long weekend retreat spot that can build those frequent flyer miles! They have some great furniture stores, too. ATL, here we come!

Horrible, but worth visiting twice just to double check. Or 3x to “triple check”.

I’m not sure what is more obnoxious: the Versace mall thugs, the fratty night life, or the plastic surgery victims in the Escalade on the cel phone changing 3 lanes at once on Peachtree with no blinker trying to keep an appointment for “Gwyneth” highlights at Van Michael. The Target with an escalator for your cart? The creepy brothels? Club URANUS? The CHEESECAKE FACTORY?! Blahhhhhhh.

I recommend only one thing about Buckhead. The Swissotel. Corner Suite if you can. So worth it.

I worked in Buckhead for years. The traffic is terrible, but that’s Atlanta for you.

Listen, if you like the night life and enjoy the arts and theater and people of elegance,pride, confidence and of great accomplishments; then Buckhead is the place!
