Grove Groove  — 2 years ago

Worth visiting!

Yesterday I set out to visit the Fossil Grove. I didn’t know exactly where it was, but I had a general idea and figured if I got tired of walking and asking directions that I would just hop into a taxi. I took the tube to the Partick stop, and headed down Dumbarton Road towards Victoria Park. Three people later I made it to the actual park, but it took another three people to direct me to the grove. Apparently I had been circling it for half an hour. Gah. Anyway, I trekked on in—only to find they had closed early. ARGH. I took a picture of the entry sign, but couldn’t count this as done until I went inside. This morning I headed back out, but since I knew where I was going the walk was much quicker. I arrived, went in, and was back out in 5 minutes. Its a very small building, not a lot to see, and you don’t get to touch anything. I snapped a few pics and went to back to the park to watch the swans. If you are in the area, then I would say its worth seeing, but don’t make a special trip for it or you might be disappointed. For me it was worth it—only because I wasn’t going to have my first trip wasted. :<)
