Fond Memories  — 11 months ago

Worth visiting!

I have many fond memories of Ocean Shores. When I was a little girl I got to spend a week each summer with family friends at Ocean Shores. I remember getting up before dawn to go clam digging with the adults, playing with other kids my age in the sand (burying each other and chasing each other), building sand castles, visiting a shipwreck, eating lots and LOTS of razor clams and generally enjoying a carefree fun time.

Worth visiting!

I’d love to go to Ocean Shores either AFTER Labor Day (or before Spring Break) when it was quiet. There is something about walking along the windy beach, with the waves splashing around your ankles and the wet sand squishing between your toes, that is so relaxing. It was fascinating how it would look exactly the same everytime, and yet it was also completely different.

Can’t remember much except the sand was cleaner than Alki’s.

Worth visiting!

With a cup of hot coffee in my had I watch the sun melt lazily over the Pacific Ocean. How I miss it… Though it is a tourist town, it is rather quiet. Most of the residents are retired (and waiting to die). I would never give up the three years of my life that I spent there. I felt that I was on vacation the entire time. (Even though I was going to school, working, and such.) You must go there…......and buy lots of salt-water taffy.
