Mom was content to sit in the lodge, enjoy the atmosphere, and people watch . . . her legs wouldn’t allow her to walk far. baby it cold up there by GageParkerBring a sleeping bag liner and wool hat for August. Listen to the wolves, marvel at the Northern Lights over Thunder Bay, do the antler dance and stay away from the rutting bulmoose. over 6 years agoUntitled by mcCloudSpent 3 months on the remote Island in Lake Superior working with the Student Conversation Association repairing trails and campsites. Myself and five other strangers from across the US worked, laughed, explored, loved, and discovered the Island and ourselves. I’ve never experienced this type of connection before with nature, humankind, and myself. I long to return to feel this connection once again.
