Those ghosts

We stayed at a lovely hotel on our visit—part of a post-high school U.K. trek. Can’t remember the name, but it seems to be haunted by the ghost of Bonnie Prince Charlie…

We didn’t meet him ourselves, but had a wonderful time scaring our younger tripmates.

Also, we had no trouble at all staying here and commuting for daytrips to Edinburgh across the Firth.

Perth

The Beating Heart of Scotland

Perth is a fantastic little city, or a big town depending on your point of view. Running through the centre of Perth we have the beautiful River Tay, flowing adjacent to two lovely stretches of parkland called the North and South Inches. Perth is perfectly situated just north of the central belt of Scotland, providing effortless access to Scotland’s main population centres. However, travel a few miles north and you find yourself in the wonderful Scottish countryside.

Perth is a great place for shopping and pub culture. It has a great selection of excellent eating establishments and the newly opened Concert Hall (Autumn 2005) promises a great boost to an already vibrant music and cultural experience.
