A review of this place
Meh. My relatives enjoy coming here, but as a vegetarian, there’s only one thing on the menu for me [fish pasta without fish, same price]. It also has a strong fishy smell. The nicest thing about the place is that it is built of that same tile as the Whispering Wall outside, so it’s surprisingly quiet.
When I do go here, I usually eat first at one of the great lunch options in the food court—Dishes, Peppe Azul, Spice Cafe and Two Boots are all local restaurants with outposts in Grrand Central and are far cheaper than ordinary Midtown fare. In fact, if you’re wandering around Midtown and need a cheap[ish] place to eat, I recommend ordering from the food court there and taking it out to Bryant Park as a picnic.

Yum.
The Oyster Bar has the best New England clam chowder in the world. And it’s one of the cheaper food options in Grand Central.
