Worth visiting!
Everyone knows everyone else
My family is from KL and it’s so cool to go visit and have family I don’t really know stop and say hi. Everyone seems friendly and although it’s horribly boring, you get a sense of home. I suppose it’s really about the people you know there and it doesn’t take long to get to know everyone there.

Cute little town
There are alot of nice people in KL… Its a very nice little town, especially if you like the outdoors. You walk for about 20 minutes in any direction and you’re bound to hit a lake :) There are lots of nice fresh water beaches, like Crystal, Butler, Nelson to name a few.
The winters are long, but when the sun isn’t hidden behind snow clouds, the area is very scenique!
It really is a good place to live and grow up. There will probably never be another place as close to my heart as good ol’ Kirkland Lake…

I’m from KL _^
I love it there.
Downtown the sidewalks on one side are elevated…further down the street it switchs and the other side is elevated.
At night, some of the lights at intersections don’t change colour, they just flash. This is because there is hardly any traffic at night and people would be waiting at red lights for no reason ^_.
Oh…and it’s pretty! If you go, you have to go to Crystal Beach, and have ice cream and pogos at Smitties. Yummy.
My family there lives in a house that looks like a big red box, and people in town know it as the Chatelaine Home or the Centenial house…or something like that.
