Guthrie

Guthrie is a small town. Most of it shuts down at dark. We do have a 24hr walmart and two sonics lol. I have lived in Guthrie all of my life. I have traveled to many places and it’s still the place i call “Home”. I wouldn’t change it for anything. Friday night High School Football, or 89er’s Day parade & our Blue Grass Festival are the pride of our community. We are proud of our history & town. I always tell visitors to take the time to walk downtown in our shops they are unique and i visit them when i can. We take pride in our town and our community. It’s something to see.

of Oklahoma. Now it’s one of the largest historical districts in the country. Went for the International Bluegrass Festival in 2000. Going back to see it again this October. Neat little town, cool bar (Blue Belle Saloon and Restaurant), and lots of good antique shops. Also pretty close to family in Okarche and Kingfisher.

I live outside Guthrie and I love it. Historic downtown Guthrie is so cozy and old fashioned.
