Wreck Of The RMS Titanic

In the 1995 IMAX documentary Titanica, a researcher mentions that fewer than 100 people have seen the wreck of the Titanic first-hand. I have heard of tourist trips down there, but in addition to being fabulously expensive they must also require the right connections, which means it would be extremely hard to visit. Still, I have had a lifelong fascination with the Titanic, and I cannot imagine a more awe-inspiring landmark on the planet.

I do not like water very much, but I love this story. I doubt I could actually go in a submerisble to the Titanic itself because of the claustrophobia of the MIR vessels and the knowledge that water is all around me. So I will be content with visions of it in books and on TV. But it sure would be neat to see the Titanic first hand.
